We are the international umbrella association of Venetian rowers with the entry in the Frankfurt am Main register of associations under the name „Internationales Komitee für venezisches Rudern / Comitato Internationale de Voga Veneta – CIVV

Comments

When visitors write comments on the website, we collect the data that is displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string (this is used to identify the browser) to support spam detection .

An anonymized string of characters (also called a hash) can be created from your email address and sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. You can find the data protection declaration of the Gravatar service here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.

The comment function is currently switched off.

Media

If you are a registered user and you upload photos to this website, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF ​​GPS location. Visitors to this website can download photos that are stored on this website and extract their location information.

Currently, photos can only be uploaded by the administrator. 
All photos that are displayed on the website were taken internally and provided with the personal approval of the club members.

Cookies

There is no comment function, comments cannot be written.

Users cannot set up accounts on our site. Administrators can only set up users with different roles, e.g. editors.

If you use the payment function for paying membership fees or donations using the embedded PayPal buttons, cookies are loaded to control the return from PayPal to the CIVV website. Names and IP addresses are not saved by the site or the CIVV.

Who we share your data with

As a matter of principle, we do not share any data of the members or users of the website with non-association persons, organizations or commercial users. 
Data for the transmission of the information when using the payment function are transmitted to PayPal. The prerequisite for this is that the user who wants to donate or pay for membership with the PayPal button has their own PayPal account. If this is not the case, i.e. if the user tries to donate or pay with the PayPal button without having his own PayPal account, the payment function cannot technically be used. Data is not saved. In particular, personal account data of the user are and cannot be viewed or saved.
At the recipient of the donation or the contribution fee, i.e. the CIVV eV, the data is de-anonymized so that the recipient can identify the sender of the payment. This data is stored and managed within the association. 
Once a donation or membership fee has been paid, it is impossible to delete the data on the CIVV PayPal account or on the CIVV club account at Deutsche Bank / Postbank. 
A refund of the payment is possible, if justified, up to the end of the calendar year. The board of the CIVV eV decides on a corresponding application. E 
ine erasure of data transfer is also impossible.

 

How long we keep your data

If you write a comment, it will be saved indefinitely, including metadata. In this way, we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time after applying to the board of directors or the administrator of the website (the user name cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and change this information.

What rights you have to your data

If you have an account on this website or have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including all data that you have given us. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include the data that we have to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons. For example, data relating to payments already made for sending or membership fees cannot be deleted because they are stored by the account-keeping bank.

Where do we send your data to

Visitor comments could be checked by an automated spam detection service. None of the data we store will be sent to anyone. We also do not send any data for commercial purposes. All data are stored for internal administration and are subject to the statutory provisions (GDPR), ie inspection, processing and deletion can be requested from the board at any time.

Your contact information

Currently, no comments or media can be uploaded via the website. This means that there is no transmission or storage of contact information. IP addresses of the website users are not saved.

All data are subject to internal control functions. This means that only the responsible board members have access to the data and they are not shared with other members of the association. This also means that this data is stored on computers provided with passwords to which only the respective users have access. None of the computers is in a publicly accessible room or has public access.

Which third party providers we receive data from

We do not receive any data from third parties except for the transfer (account transfer or PayPal transfer) of sending and membership fees. This data is necessary for administrative reasons and has to be saved within the association.

What automated decision-making and / or profiling we do with user data

This is inapplicable.

Industrial prudential regulatory requirements

The registered association CIVV, like all organizations, is subject to the EU Directive GDPR. We are subject to association law and are registered at the Frankfurt am Main local court under the above registration number.
