What personal information we collect and why we collect it
When visitors write comments on the website, we collect the data that is displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and the user agent string (this is used to identify the browser) to support spam detection .
An anonymized string of characters (also called a hash) can be created from your email address and sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. You can find the data protection declaration of the Gravatar service here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
The comment function is currently switched off.
If you are a registered user and you upload photos to this website, you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Visitors to this website can download photos that are stored on this website and extract their location information.
Currently, photos can only be uploaded by the administrator.
All photos that are displayed on the website were taken internally and provided with the personal approval of the club members.

There is no comment function, comments cannot be written.
Users cannot set up accounts on our site. Administrators can only set up users with different roles, e.g. editors.
If you use the payment function for paying membership fees or donations using the embedded PayPal buttons, cookies are loaded to control the return from PayPal to the CIVV website. Names and IP addresses are not saved by the site or the CIVV.
Embedded content from other websites
Contributions on this website can contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, contributions, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.
We do not assume any liability for the content of the embedded page, nor for the correctness of the information displayed there, and we also do not guarantee whether the embedded links still point to the originally intended website. We do not automatically check the correctness of the embedded links. Editorial checks of the embedded links take place at a reasonable interval.
The website does not use any analysis services that collect personal data about users. Analysis services can be used that add up the number of users and make them known to the administrator.
Who we share your data with
As a matter of principle, we do not share any data of the members or users of the website with non-association persons, organizations or commercial users.
Data for the transmission of the information when using the payment function are transmitted to PayPal. The prerequisite for this is that the user who wants to donate or pay for membership with the PayPal button has their own PayPal account. If this is not the case, i.e. if the user tries to donate or pay with the PayPal button without having his own PayPal account, the payment function cannot technically be used. Data is not saved. In particular, personal account data of the user are and cannot be viewed or saved.
At the recipient of the donation or the contribution fee, i.e. the CIVV eV, the data is de-anonymized so that the recipient can identify the sender of the payment. This data is stored and managed within the association.
Once a donation or membership fee has been paid, it is impossible to delete the data on the CIVV PayPal account or on the CIVV club account at Deutsche Bank / Postbank.
A refund of the payment is possible, if justified, up to the end of the calendar year. The board of the CIVV eV decides on a corresponding application. E
ine erasure of data transfer is also impossible.
How long we keep your data
If you write a comment, it will be saved indefinitely, including metadata. In this way, we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time after applying to the board of directors or the administrator of the website (the user name cannot be changed). Website administrators can also view and change this information.
What rights you have to your data
If you have an account on this website or have written comments, you can request an export of your personal data from us, including all data that you have given us. In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include the data that we have to keep for administrative, legal or security reasons. For example, data relating to payments already made for sending or membership fees cannot be deleted because they are stored by the account-keeping bank.
Where do we send your data to
Visitor comments could be checked by an automated spam detection service. None of the data we store will be sent to anyone. We also do not send any data for commercial purposes. All data are stored for internal administration and are subject to the statutory provisions (GDPR), ie inspection, processing and deletion can be requested from the board at any time.
